You can be very healthy medically and still desire to lose weight. This is common amongst women who sometimes need be a particular weight to feel good about themselves. It is also practiced by athletes as they strive to attain some form of physical fitness that helps them perform better in sports. However, this must be done under the supervision of a trainer, and following the advice of a physician.
